My passion for nature can be traced back to my childhood. My father, a career agriculturalist, simplified the relationship between nature and human well-being in practical ways, and cultivated the deep interest and instinct to preserve the environment.
As the Policy and Advocacy Officer, I develop and implement advocacy programs through capacity development activities, research and facilitation of policy development among other duties in Uganda. My focus is on the themes of ecosystem management and restoration, climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, WASH (Water Sanitation & Hygiene), and catchment management.
After university, I reconnected with my passion for conservation and wise use of resources that form the very foundation of our existence. Before joining Wetlands International, I provided legal advisory services for a government body mandated to produce and supply water as well as sewerage services in Uganda.
My educational background is MSc in Energy and Natural Resources Management from University of Melbourne, Australia and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
I love to travel, engage in nature-based recreational activities, and reach out to the less privileged.
