As a Driver, I support my colleagues by ensuring they get to projects in the field safely. I also run errands to ensure smooth office operations. My role takes me to new areas and each is a memorable experience. I always look forward to the interactions with the local communities and children.
Having started my career at one of the top reputable schools in Nairobi, I know almost all corners of this County. Before joining Wetlands International in 2017, I worked with a marketing agency for five years.
My favourite wetland, so far, is the Enapuiyapui Swamp located in Kiptunga Forest in the eastern Mau Complex. A source of several rivers, it is a healthy, serene wetland that is rich in biodiversity particularly plants and birds.
When I am not working, I sing tenor and bass in my church choir as well as enjoy family time. I also love getting my hands dirty at my small farm upcountry where I cultivate groundnuts and Irish potatoes and rear goats. My latest passion is harvesting clean water and growing trees.
I hope that more people could take responsibility of wetlands by gaining knowledge and using them sustainably for all living things.
